Below are just a few of our former and current residents. Many came from neglectful situations and never had the opportunity to properly socialize or integrate into a loving home in order to develop acceptable social skills. Because of this, they were viewed by many as “unadoptable”. And, when dogs are branded unadoptable, the general reaction is to euthanize them.
This practice is unacceptable to us, and although we cannot rescue all deserving dogs, we are doing our part to help those we can by providing them a safe and peaceful environment in which to live out their lives. They now spend their days running; swimming, playing and relaxing in the sanctuary’s various play areas warmed by the sun. We believe it is minimal effort in return for their loyalty, love and devotion to us and each other.
The good news is that we’re not the only ones who feel this way. As a result, we have very few dogs residing with us now and some great success stories to share. To learn more about each individual dog’s journey, please click on their picture.
