Occasionally Dog Gone Tired Sanctuary and Rescue becomes involved in helping other dogs, who through no fault of their own, find themselves needing a home, and who are truly adoptable. When we find ourselves crossing paths with such dogs, we try to do our very best to connect these lovable canines with worthy families.
Below are descriptions of those currently awaiting their perfect home. Please call or email if you would like additional information or if you know of a family who would be a perfect match.
Reese and Nova are three year old healthy, strong and loving Mastiff/Bloodhound mixes. They are brother and sister and have had quite a difficult start in life. They lived in Arizona with three other dogs when their owner suddenly passed away. It was almost two weeks before anyone noticed that something was dreadfully wrong, and unfortunately, by that time, only they and their father, a purebred Mastiff, had survived the ordeal. A Mastiff Rescue in Arizona took them in. Although their father was placed almost immediately, it has been much harder to place Reese and Nova since they are not purebreds.
They are such affectionate and playful puppies that it has been heartbreaking to see them without a family for over a year.
Dog Gone Tired Sanctuary and Rescue became involved when their journey led them to a Boxer Rescue in California. They are quick learners; always willing to please. They are in need of a bit more human socialization since they’ve been primarily interacting with more dogs than people, but Reese will consume your heart with love and affection, and Nova will charm you with her kooky personality.
They play very well with each other, and are full of puppy love and energy. Reese gets along well with other dogs, but Nova is a bit more particular — still picking and choosing like girls are known to do.
Reese and Nova
Because of their “gusto for life” we recommend that only families with older children adopt them. And since they are devoted to each other, we would love to see them adopted together. Hopefully you or someone you know can open heart and home to such a great pair of dogs and help give them the guidance and support they need to complete their journey to becoming great Doggie Citizens!
